Terms & conditions
The terms that apply when you book logistics, transport or storage services from Basecamp Logistics.
Last updated [month, year]. These terms apply to all quotes, bookings and work carried out by Basecamp Logistics.
About these terms
These terms form the agreement between you and Basecamp Logistics ([registered legal name]) for any service we quote or carry out. Where you have signed a separate written contract with us, that contract takes priority over anything here.
Quotes and bookings
Quotes are based on the weights, dimensions, dates and destinations you give us and are valid for [30 days]. If the actual load differs from what was quoted, we will re-price before proceeding. A booking is confirmed when we acknowledge it in writing.
Weather, windows and delays
Air and marine movements depend on conditions we do not control. Where weather, visibility, aircraft availability or reservoir conditions prevent a movement, we will re-schedule at the earliest workable window. We are not liable for consequential losses caused by delays outside our control.
Cancellation
Cancellations made more than [48 hours] before a scheduled movement are not charged. Inside [48 hours], costs already committed — aircraft, vessel, crew or purchased goods — are payable. Cancellations by us due to safety or weather are never charged.
Dangerous goods
You must tell us in advance about anything classed as dangerous goods, including fuel, propane, batteries, flares and compressed gases. Undeclared dangerous goods may be refused at the pad or the ramp at your cost, and you remain responsible for any resulting penalties.
Care of goods and liability
We handle your goods with reasonable skill and care. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to [the value of the service provided] unless a higher limit is agreed in writing before the work begins. We recommend you insure high-value cargo separately.
Storage
Goods held in storage remain your property. Storage is billed monthly in advance. We may refuse or dispose of goods left more than [90 days] past the end of a paid storage term, after giving written notice.
Payment
Invoices are due [net 30] unless otherwise agreed. Overdue accounts may attract interest at [1.5% per month]. We may hold goods or suspend service while an account is overdue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it.
